Back Pain and Sciatica
Low back pain is one of the most common reasons people seek out medical attention. It is a condition that occurs across the lifespan, affecting all ages and backgrounds. In many cases, back pain becomes a chronic condition that negatively impacts work and social life.

At Ethos Physical Therapy, we understand that not all back pain is the same and everyone deserves a tailored treatment approach. Through a combination of hands-on treatments and appropriate activity prescription, we work to break up the cycle of recurrent low back pain that so many people suffer from. Let us help get you back to where you want to be.
Shoulder Pain
The shoulder is an amazing but complex part of the human body involving multiple joints and muscles. The highly dynamic nature of the shoulder allows us to interact and manipulate the world around us; however, with all these moving parts, it can be prone to injury. Shoulder pain is one of the most frequent musculoskeletal complaints and can stem from a single traumatic event or from repetitive injury.

At Ethos Physical Therapy, we are dedicated to providing you with a comprehensive treatment plan to get you back to the activities you most enjoy. Whether you are recovering from surgery or trying to avoid it, our team is here for you.

Foot and Ankle Pain
“When the foot hits the ground everything changes.” That is, with every step the foot and ankle are the start of how our body accepts the ground hitting us back. It is for this reason that proper mechanics are not only vital to the health of the foot and ankle but all the joints above.

With the complex interworking's of so many joints and muscles, the foot and ankle can be susceptible to injury. Impairments can range from too rigid to hyper-mobile and can be related to traumatic incidents or repetitive forces. Our highly trained therapists will provide a thorough evaluation including assessment of your walking mechanics and in appropriate cases complete a running assessment. With this, we will develop a course of treatment to meet your needs. We will also provide recommendations on orthotics when indicated.

What we treat:
Achilles tendinopathy
Plantar fasciitis
Ankle sprains and fractures

Knee Pain
The knee joint is far more than a simple hinge joint moving back and forth. It is one of the largest in the body and is a primary joint for weight-bearing. It is for this reason that knee pain can be so detrimental to our daily function.

Whether you sustained an Anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) tear in your last sporting event or simply managing stairs is a nightmare due to arthritis, we are here to help. One of our skilled physical therapists will evaluate your knee pain and establish a treatment plan centered around your needs and goals. A thorough evaluation will also include screening of the hip and foot as the knee is often caught between the two. Adequately addressing these contributing factors can be the difference between only short-term relief and lasting results.

What we treat:
Ligamentous tears and repairs
Meniscus tears and repairs
Total and partial knee replacements
Patellofemoral syndrome
Iliotibial (IT) band
Arthritis

Hip Pain
The hip is a highly dynamic joint meant for an extensive range of motion but is also relied on to generate high forces. Impairments in either of these roles can lead to injury not just to the hip but other local joints as well including the low back and knee. The hip is also a common referral area for issues going on at the lower back. A thorough evaluation can identify the source of your hip pain.

At Ethos Physical Therapy, we will evaluate the function of your hip including such things as strength, range of motion, and flexibility. Through both hands-on treatments and exercise prescription we will develop a program best fitted to you. Do not let hip pain continue to hinder your life. Together we will work to get you back to doing what you most enjoy.

Neck Pain and Headache
Neck pain can come from several reasons. Whether it be a whiplash type injury such as a car accident or from years of poor posture, neck pain can be a highly debilitating condition. Unfortunately, in many cases headaches are also a noted complaint, leading to both personal and social burdens.

At Ethos Physical Therapy, our team of specialists will complete a thorough evaluation of your symptoms. This will include a deep dive into the culprit of your headaches as well as associated radiating pain into the extremities when present. Through both hands-on treatment and appropriate exercise prescription, our team will work with you to get you back to doing the things that you love.
Hand, Wrist, and Elbow Pain
There are many causes of hand, wrist, and elbow pain. Each of these parts are so interconnected that a deficit in one likely needs to be addressed. One of our therapists will work to determine the exact cause of your pain. Based on the evaluation, we will determine a plan of care centered around your symptoms and goals.

Neurological Conditions
There are many nervous system disorders that require clinical care. Whether related to injury or disease, impairments of the neurological system can have an enormous impact on one's ability to function. This is because the nervous system is the command center of our body. It controls how we both receive, through sensory feedback, and react, through motor control, with the world around us. If you are having issues with strength, balance, flexibility, or pain related to a neurological condition we can help.

What we treat:
Stroke
Muscular dystrophy
Multiple Sclerosis
Parkinson’s disease
Spinal cord Injury
Post-concussion syndrome

Vestibular Rehab
The vestibular system is part of the inner ear that provides feedback to the brain to create a sense of balance and spatial awareness. A disruption in this system typically results in episodes known as vertigo, a sense of spinning with little to no movement, or a general sense of unsteadiness. This can be a highly debilitating condition, creating fear of movement, particularly of the head and neck, as well as an increased risk of falls leading to other injuries.

At Ethos Physical therapy, our team of specialists will work to identify the cause of your symptoms and implement interventions to address them. This may be through repositioning maneuvers or exercises focused on improving the communication between the visual and vestibular system. We will also work on gait, coordination, and balance to reduce fall risk.
