Do I need a script to get physical therapy?

Michigan is considered a "direct access" state. This means that you do not need a physician's referral to begin physical therapy. Some insurance plans, however, do require a referral for billing purposes. Not sure if your insurance does? Contact your insurance provider or give us a call today and we can help you find out.

What is a copay, coinsurance and deductible?

A copay is a fixed fee you pay for a service covered by your health insurance and is typically collected at the time of your visit. Coinsurance is a percentage of the cost of health care services you pay. This may be collected at time of services as an estimated rate or billed following treatment. Both copay and coinsurance kick in after you have met your deductible for the year. A deductible is the expense that you pay before an insurance provider covers any cost. Copay, coinsurance and deductibles vary by insurance carrier and your specific plan. We always recommend you contact your insurance provider to get specifics on your plan; however, take advantage of our complimentary insurance verification and give us a call today.
