Y-BALANCE
The Y-Balance Test is a physical therapy assessment used to evaluate an individual's dynamic balance, functional symmetry, and risk of lower extremity injury. It involves standing on one leg and reaching with the other foot in three directions (anterior, posteromedial, and posterolateral) as far as possible. The test results help physical therapists track progress, design rehabilitation programs, and make return-to-play decisions by comparing a person's reach distances to normative data or the other leg.
